Services up/down
hi...
is there any plugin to monitor the status of a service (like DNS, Web, email, ftp, DB server, etc..) ?
something like nagios/opennms do....
note: i wouldn't like use nagios+cacti... so, do I have another choice?
thanks,

Re: Services up/down
cacti focusses primarily on reporting numbers in a time series, e.g. to do performance analysis. Nevertheless, using cigamits plugin architecture, there's a plugin called monitor that may help. Search Addons.cacontece wrote:hi...

People often use both of them as nagios is excellent (at least I was told so) as a monitor solution whereas cacti is excellent in graphing/reporting. So you'll find some posts on combining the two. If the monitor plugin does not fulfill your requirements, I suppose the combination of both tools would be bettersomething like nagios/opennms do....

Help with Services.zip
When I try to import the template cacti_data_query_win_services.xml from the Services.zip I get an error saying: Error: XML: Hash version does not exist.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks.
