Distributed Monitoring System

Post by crownd »

Hello,

I have 3 WAN locations and I'm setting up Cacti to monitor the devices in each of these areas.

The challenge Im faced with now is that my customers have branch offices in each of these locations but I do not want them to connect to different systems to view their utilization graphs.

Is it possible to have one Cacti Server display statistics residing on another Server ?

Thanxs

This is planned functionality. However, a well built server can poll several hundred hosts.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?

We have a similar situation but due to security reasions we had to build our own extension for cacti 8.5. We are currentliy polling behind firewalls an distributing the information via an "cachingtable" to a central cacti station.

Does something similar exist in Cacti 8.6x?

thx!
