cacti 0.8+ : Dynamic Substituion

It would be a very nice feature if cacti supported dynamic substitution. However, this would probably only work best for graphs.

For example I use the folowing Data and Graph templates [cacti 0.8]

|host_description| - |squery_ifDesc| - |squery_ifAlias|

(Note: I have configured cacti to use .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.18 OID for Alias)

Currently these are subsituted as and when the graphs and DS are created.

However, to have dynamic substitution, the pointers should be kept and be subsituted only when the graphs are drawn. Having this feature would allow for any changes in the naming/descriptions of network devices.

It would be nice to have this feature for DS names/descriptions aswell - but I suspect that this would not be practical.
