1) Search your computer for other copies of rrdtool. Make sure the cygwin one, is the only one.

2) Which php.ini did you start out with? You should've started with php.ini-dist. Make sure the following are set in it, register_argc_argv = On
safe_mode = Off.

3) what webserver are you using?

4) What AV are you using? Sure it's not blocking cacti / rrdtool from doing its thing?

5) double check COMPUTERNAME\IUSR_XXXX and COMPUTERNAME\IIS_WPG users have read & execute permissions to the file %windir%\system32\cmd.exe

Have you searched your computer for all instances of rrdtool.exe and replaced it with the Cygwin build?

I can't find other RRD tools on this computer. Only the Cygwinbuild. And i set the path in Cacti under settings-path.

I've ran out of ideas... never ran across this error before. Will need to have one of the devs look in.

What do i have to do?
Could it be that i made a fault into the configuration of the router?

No, it's something with your cacti/php/rrdtool set up.

Rudolphus (aka Red Nose),

Please verify that you have Cygwin installed on your PC and that the "c:\cygwin\bin" is in your path.

Then, please update to the rrdtool-1.2.12 that exists on the Cacti web site under:

http://www.cacti.net/downloads

Once you have installed cygwin and downloaded the files, delete the cygwin1.dll file in your rrdtool directory.

Please post results.

I used:
rrdtool-cygwin-1.2.9

I downloaded from the cacti site.

I'm going to follow your tips and post the results.
I hope this will work.
