I have only been testing Cacti 0.8 for a couple of hours now. It looks brilliant so far!
However, below is a short list of features I would like to see:
1. There should be an indication of what user acount is currently be used as login.
2. It would be nice to see what actual version of Cacti is being used.
3. Be able to use Cisco configuration descriptions for interfaces (not IfDesc or IfAlias) on graphs.
I will add the current logged in user when I find a good spot in the UI for it. You can find the current version on the about screen, is there anywhere else you would like to see it? The post that monideth referenced to does a pretty good job of explaining how do make this change, so I won't touch on it.

The best place I can think of is after or underneath the section tabs; or top-right of the screen.

It would be nice to be able to have this as a configurable setting within cacti 0.8. I presume this should not be too hard to implement in the final release.
The only other thing I would really like to see at the moment is to be able to add in chunks of text and URL links into, or instead of, graphs) - but I think this has been already requested?
