Preview graphs not displaying...suggestions?

Post by passphrase »

Cacti works. Graphs (big ones...when you select an item off the tree) are displaying properly. Cron's working, etc. Here's the problem:

When I go to the "Graphs" tab, none of the previews (small graphs) display. It's just text (clickable link). Right click and copy image location gives:
http://my.site/my_cacti/graph_image.php ... 1137256652

Opening that directly gives:
The image (link from above) cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Double check that the rrdtool version you are running is set correctly in cacti.

Also, make sure the path to rrdtool is the full path, to the binary, not just the directory.

Where is this? Not sure on that one...

Good to go there. Points to the actual binary.

Oops...found that. Yes...set correctly.

Thing is...the regular graphs work (ie: when you drill down to a graph on the tree). It's just the previews that do not work...

Um, do a rrdtool -v and see that you are running the correct version. What you explain is usually rrdtool version being set incorrectly in cacti.

Make sure you are running the right rrdtool.

Good call. I'm running 1.2rc9 and I made the change in cacti. Now, however, no graphs are displaying...
