Making Graphs 36 hours wide by default ???

Post by sgolby »

Hi Everyone,

I'm obviously overlooking something simple but I can’t spot the value to change to make my graphs 36 hours wide.

I’d like to increase the default width of the graphs from 24 hours to 36 hours (like MRTG does by default). I think the most valuable thing from these type of graphs is seeing “what was it like at this time yesterday”, which means being able to see +/- 4 hours from the current time yesterday. [without using Zoom, which works fine thanks]

Can anyone point me in the right direction ?

Thanks,
Scott

See Data Sources/rra definitions and adjust the timespan

I tried bumping the timespane up to 129600 (from 86400) but that didn't seem to have any effect.

I figured maybe 50% rows of data might be it, so bumped that up to 900 (from 600), but that doesn't seem to have any effetc on new or old graphs.

I tried adding a new host which had never been polled before to see if the change only was applied to new setups, unfortunately the graphs still show a 1 hour time frame "From 13:01 To 13:01".

Is there something else I need to tweak, or data that needs to be cleared ?

Thanks.

User management -> graph settings -> Default Graph View Timespan. Although, there is no 36 hour setting... so one just needs to find out where that is set in cacti (php files or mysql database) and add in your own.
