SNMP - Informant - Disk Activity

Post by Fred Dran »

Hi

Base on someone else WMI work, converted to SNMP - Informant query. Works with 0.8.6.g, 2000 & 2006 servers using SNMP Informant MIB

You get these useful info to know if you avec some I/O shortage. Minus: use Logical disc... it will be better to get physical disk, but i did not find the OID !

- % Read Time : % Disk Read Time is the percentage of elapsed time that the selected disk drive is busy servicing read requests.

- % Write Time : % Disk Write Time is the percentage of elapsed time that the selected disk drive is busy servicing write requests.

- Avg Read Queue : Avg. Disk Read Queue Length is the average number of read requests that were queued for the selected disk during the sample interval.

- Avg Write Queue : Avg. Disk Write Queue Length is the average number of write requests that were queued for the selected disk during the sample interval.

I hope it help someone.

It looks like it will work with a linux server once a functioning template is put up.
