I have SNMP informant installed giving me additional oid's that stock windows doesn't like disk space etc, on an XP machine (server is Red Hat, but irrelevant). Quite often i've been noticing gaps in the graphs for only the XP machine and no other hosts even on the same local network.
The stock windows OID stats like network traffic don't have these gaps. Have i misconfigured SNMP Informant somehow? I don't think i did anything but install and copy the oid files.
If that's just the nature of the beast on XP, are there any other applications like this that work a little more stable? Advice? Thanks!
Snmp informant problems on XP, fixes? alternatives?

Does the same thing happen with the Microsoft SNMP Agent? If not, then it's a problem with the net-snmp one. If so, then there is a general problem with how the SNMP agents are querying your HDDs. Try increasing the timeout for that host.
Personally, I never have any gaps in my XP / Win2K3 hosts for disk space and I'm using the MS SNMP Agent.
