thold / monitor, how to configure
Hi,
I think I have successfully installed the two plugins. I can see 2 new menus on top and some new on the left side for tresholds.
Where can I create new thresholds and mointor settings? I installed the plugins on top of a existing cacti system where a lot of graphs already exist.
Where can I find more documentation about the plugins and how to configure them. I search on cactiusers.org but didn't find much that goes beyond the install of the plugins.

There isn't much to configure on the Monitor Plugin at this time, to add a host to be "alerted on", just browse to that device, and you should have an option to click "Monitor host", after doing so it will show up under the Monitor tab.pirx wrote:Well...I figured out that I first have to create a template for a threshold. Then I can add it to a data source.
What I'm still missing is how to configure the monitpr plugin.

Cigamit,
Do you have a plugin architecture module available for the new 0.8.6h betas?

Willie

Re: cacti-0.8.6h
At this time, I don't, mainly since when it officially came out, I would probably have to update it again. If I have time today, I will go ahead and create an updated copy, but I have a few other projects that I will try to complete first.williem wrote:Cigamit,

Re: cacti-0.8.6h
I have currently released a patch to work with the latest SVN version. I would recommend not using the pre-patched files, since ofcourse SVN is always changing. You will have to rename include/config.php.dist to config.php before using the patch. And I would recommend using --dry-run first to make sure its gonna work for you without screwing something up. And as always, BACKUP FIRST!!! I can never say that enough!williem wrote:Cigamit,

Hey,
Where would the patch be? I looked at cactiusers.org but didnt see anything there. BTW, I never run anything on my production box without sending it through a test box first. Once it is stabile in my test environment, I copy everything up to the production box except the rra directory <g>.
