SNMP not in use

I've got "SNMP not in use" under "Localhost (127.0.0.1)".

Also in "Data Query Debug Information" is

+ No SNMP data returned

Of course SNMPd is running:

Hi

"Localhost" uses the "Local Linux Machine" host template, which AFAIK does not use SNMP queries.

Try to change the host template for this device (use "ucd/net SNMP Host").

Please try to run snmpwalk against localhost to verify the correct configuration of snmpd (even if snmpd runs, it will not necessarily respond to your requests). Please post your findings

I used IP (192.168.xxx.yyy). Localhost and IP got same results.

Did you set up the paths to the snmp binaries? Goto Settings -> Paths. To debug further, Settings -> Log Level will help when set to DEBUG mode. Find anything cacti's poller is doing at cacti.log. For sure you provided the correct community string for your host in the Device screen?

In the device page information of local host, make sure you have filled in the field "SNMP Community" with the value "public". It worked for me.
