Device fails to create properly

Post by eklipze »

I have approximately 150 devices being graphed by cacti but I have one switch stack that will not create properly. I go to add the device and cacti hangs for a bit and then goes to a white screen. URL is cacti.<domain name>.com/host.php. If I click the back button in the browser is shows save successful and the device is listed but when I create graphs for it they never show. I ran the graph debug tool and the following error is shown, (ERROR: opening 'C:/Apache2/htdocs/cacti/rra/east_idf4_sw1_traffic_in_806.rrd': No such file or directory
). This device is a switch stack with 7 switches in it, I don't know if this is what's causing the issue but that's the only thing that's different from what I can tell. Can anyone help? TIA

0.8.6g Cacti
Server 2000
MySQL5

Every other graph works fine with my setup except for this one in particular. Are you suggesting that mysql 5 is what's causing the issue for this device? If you can't help me because of this I understand but I really feel this is a cacti issue and not a mysql issue. Thanks for anything you can do.

You can wait for 0.8.6h to be released, which support mysql 5, or you can downgrade your mysql 5 to mysql 4.x.

I will not run around trying to fix something on a configuration that is known to have problems.

Thanks for the reply, I will wait for the release of the new software and see if the issue is resolved.
