Post by matobago »

I already graphing a gigabit interface but when bandwith comes over 120 Mbs its been chopped and starts in the lower of the graph.

This is a M10! Juniper Fiber interface

Hi matobago,

I think you are polling the data every 5 min and it is an 32 Bit counter, right?

If your traffic is so high, that the counter resets more often than 1 times per 5 min, you will get exact the same behaviour as you reported.

There are 2 ways to bypass the problem:
1. use an 64bit counter if possible
or
2. measure more often (e.g. every 2 minutes)
