get SNMP error when adding device

Im running Fedora Core4 and have cacti installed with correct paths etc. When I try to add a device i get a message that says SNMP error. This happens when attemtping to add localhost and a remote server.
I have tried snmpwalk and i can query my remote server just fine,but yet get SNMP error within cacti when adding it. Please help..

1) please run "php -m" and look for the snmp module
2) if it's not found, check Settings->Paths and validate your snmpget and walk paths.
3) if they are correct, set the MIBS envrionment variable to RFC-1215 and run again.

My paths are correct. How do I go about changing the MIBS environment?

Windows or Unix?

Windows
Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Environment Variables -> System Environment Variables -> Name=MIBS, Value=RFC-1215

Unix/Linux
export MIBS=RFC-1215

or

set MIBS=RFC-1215

Depneds on your shell.

I did the set MIBS.
I can query the localhost and external linux server, but it won't pull partiton and interface statistics...it does pull memory usage etc. And i still get the SNMP error in the device settings.
Any clue as to why it's not pulling disk partiton and interface statistics?

You should run cmd.php from the command line in DEBUG mode and you will have your answer.

actually found out that SELinux was messing with it..

Did you disable SELinux?
