Poller working, but graphs contain no data

Hi,

In the cacit.log I can see the poller.php receiving infotmation, but the graphs do not contain data. I have search high and low. I have also upgraded to 0.8.6g, thought this might solve the problem. I came accross a few links that suggested that it is rights related:
1. chomd -R 755 cacti/ chown -R wwwrun:www cacti/
2. chown -R cactiuser cacti/

I have applied both, but still nothing. Out of desperation I did :
chomd -R 755 cacti/
chown -R root:root cacti/

I know this is not secure, but I wanted to elimated rights. The poller.php in the cron runs also as root.

Please apply the patches here: http://www.cacti.net/downloads/patches/ ... re-patched and then clear your poller cache. Please post results.

from mysql, do the following:

select count(*) from poller_output;

If your row count is high, then you have a PHP issue relative to too many rows in poller_output. The easy fix will be to increase maximum memory in PHP.INI and then truncate the poller_output table.

truncate table poller_output;

Doing so, you will loose the values. If on the other hand, the poller_output table is empty, you likely have a permissions issue or your cron is not running correctly.

If you turn logging to DEBUG, if you don't see your log growing very rapidly, I would suspect cron, otherwise, I would suspect permissions.

If it is permissions, then login as the poller account and run "php poller.php" and look for the error messages.

Below is the mysql row count, I would imagine this is fairly high
mysql> select count(*) from poller_output;

I have previously increated the max. memory limit in the php.ini and the poller.php(ini_set("memory_limit","256M");), I have upped both to 512M and restarted apache.

The logging is already debug and the extracts I provided where from when the poller.php runs via cron.

I have also chown -R root:root cacti/, I know this was insecure, but in my mind was the only way to make 100% sure that premissions where not the problem.
