I did change the default to use snmpv1 instead of v2. Now it does walk the switches without errors, well at least the 2980's but it doesn't input any mac address's. It doesn't show any active ports on the vlan's when it does the interrogation. On the 4006, it just dies with many SQL errors when it tries to input the MAC address's into SQL.

Jarhead, please send me the scanner debug STDOUT for both devices. Very important.

php mactrack_scanner.php -id=XX -d > scanner_output_xx.txt

Also, please edit mactrack_functions.php, look for "-C", followed by "r50" change to "r10" and try SNMPv2 again but only after you have received the output from above.

Also, what version of MySQL are you running?

Jarhead,

What version of PHP? Can you do a netmeeting? I am home and can remotely access via multiple methods...

Set the MIBS environment variable to RFC-1215 and then run again. Make sure that you have that MIB file in the MIBDIRS folder though.

Jarhead,

I made a change to 0.8.6 SVN last night to lib/snmp.php. Can you re-download that module and test again.

I resynched with the svn and copied the new snmp.php over to my install. I attempted again with V1 and I get the same results as last time with no user ports. With V2 there is still the timeout issue. Is there a way to force a different mib directory in this application? I attempted to replace my mibs with all new ones and it broke about 4 other things on this box so I had to revert back. I was thinking that I could get some new mibs and run against those to see if it is mib issue. I got the mibs from another box on our network that this one replaced.

Hi,
I saw that earlier in this thread it was mentioned that HP Procurve switches would be included in this. Did you not get the info you needed or is that not going to happen?

Thanks

Jarhead,

We need to do an online thing again.

nuinco,

I did get some walks, just have not worked with anyone who has made them available on the internet for me to poll. If you can make that happen, I will write up the module.

Just a procure switch facing the internet with a device or two plugged in. If you PM me I can get you my FW IP address for any FW issues from where you are.
