rrdtool 1.2 / font settings ignored
Hi,
cacti ignores all special font setting.
I can change the font over the default font path. That´s it.
All other settings will be ignored.
font size & path in general/visual and user settings makes absolutely no change.
any ideas? it works fine on another box :-/
Regards
Matt

You won't have to enter only the font PATH but the fully qualified FONT DS NAME. In case of error, please click on the wrench next to the graph and post the rrdtool graph statementsMaFL wrote:Hi,

Yes.. that´s the way I always use it, full path incl font name.
Cacti also reacts on the general setting:
empty: default font used / DejaVuSansMono-Roman.ttf
existing font: this font is used
non existing: no text any more
But in the visual tab and the rrdtool font settings of the user I can enter what I want.
Empty/wrong/right and size... it´s always the default setting (no difference if default is empty or not)
In the rrdtool statement I can´t find a font setting?

Ok, there are 2 places you can use fonts.
The defaults, and then the users graph settings. Check out the graph tab, then click settings.

Yeah.. that´s the place I meant above if I talk about "user settings".rony wrote:Ok, there are 2 places you can use fonts.

I used the other way to get it (User Management/admin/Graph Settings).
How does rrdtool gets the font setting?/Any possibilities I can debug it?

What version of RRDTool are you running?
Fonts are only supported by version 1.2.x.

sure.. I´m using 1.2.11
As I said before.... I´m able to change the font over Settings/Path/RRDTool Default Font Path. This does work.
I have texts in my graphs with the font I define there.
But I´m not able to modify the font size nor define extra fonts for Title/Legends/Axis/Unit.
Neither in general nor in user defined.
These variables will be simply ignored.
This does work on 2 other boxes without problems...
