Do you mean using cactid.exe for polling, instead of cmd.php?

If so, login to the Cacti website, go to Settings, then Poller, and change the Poller Type to Cactid.exe

Don't forget to make sure cacti has the correct path to it and it has the correct NTFS permissions.

I seem to be running into this problem as well...

Cacti - 0.8.6f
PHP - 5.0.5
MySQL - 4.1.15
Cactid - 0.8.6f

I turned on DEBUG and here are the results...

Code: Select all

 deleted DEBUG log
The graphs get generated but no data is displayed.

With all those WEBEVENT entries, it's impossible to see whats going on. Turn them off in Settings and post your log again (only if they dont show up!).

Sorry... I was not sure what level of logging would provide enough data so I choose the highest. What log level would be best?

Medium or higher works. Just disable the webevents from being logged since it clutters it up so much.

That is odd... the "web events" logging options are not checked. Am I missing something?

No... it's some sort of bug in cacti (I've experianced it too at one point). Try setting the web events, click save. Then disable the web events and click save. That *should* disable them.
