Poller.php stuck

Post by ne0phyte »

Hi,

I've just tried to migrate my cacti from one box to another one.

I made a backup of the /cacti directory and imported the sql database on the new host.

Everything looks fine, the hosts are up, snmp is running, but my graphs aren't showing.

If i run the command for poller.php it doesn't give any output, just hangs in the commandline untill i control-c.

Anyone seen this before?

linux: Debian Sarge
Cacti: Version 0.8.6f with plugins thold
PHP Version 4.4.0
MySQL 4.1.10-standard

this is the command i have in my crontab:
php /home/lsnet/public_html/cacti/poller.php > /dev/null 2>&1 && php /home/lsnet/public_html/cacti/thold/check-thold.php > /dev/null 2>&1

in my despair I tried change type poller for cactid and works fine, only Graphs of Load Average stops.

If you installed from rpm, you may have poller crontab entries at different places. Look for /etc/cron.d/cacti, /etc/crontab and the crontabs for users root and cactiuser.

id try running poller.php without redirecting the output and see what it says

then try perhaps try stracing and see where its getting stuck?
