I can't clear Poller Cache

Post by TFC »

Hi,
when I click the clear poller cache , I go to http://XXXX/cacti/utilities.php?action= ... ller_cache page
And I see that:
View Poller Cache [722 Items]

Data Source: M_2B_6009_1 - 5 second cpu
RRD: /www/htdocs/cacti/rra/m_2b_6009_1_5sec_cpu_cat_27.rrd
Action: 0, OID: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.3.9 (Host: 10.200.100.28, Community: tazmania)
Data Source: M_2B_6009_1 - 1 Minute CPU
RRD: /www/htdocs/cacti/rra/m_2b_6009_1_1min_cpu_cat_26.rrd
Action: 0, OID: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.4.9 (Host: 10.200.100.28, Community: tazmania)
Data Source: M_2B_6009_1 - switch load
RRD: /www/htdocs/cacti/rra/m_2b_6009_1_switch_load_25.rrd
Action: 0, OID: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.1.8.0 (Host: 10.200.100.28, Community: tazmania)
....
....
....
So, I think that I can't clear poller cache.
How can Solve this problem?
If possible:
How can I clear poller cache manual? Is there any way?

Soon as you click on clear poller cache, it does that then displays the refreshed one... which I think you are seeing.

Do you have your graph titles "per host"? If they are "per host", you have to "Reapply Suggested Names" in the Graph Management UI.

Also, I believe that Re-Indexing the host is how the graph titles would change if you titles were NOT "per host". Clearing the Poller Cache has nothing to do with that.

Goto Graph Management, select the graphs you want to rename, and then from the dropdown, pick "Reapply Suggested Names".

A new case:

I can see that poller cache is populated correctly, but "View Poller Cache" present me a blank screen (see attached file).

After some digging, I realized that the problem is related to the number of data sources (or number of devices). With 1,8 K DS this works fine, but if I increase it to 3,5 K I have this blank screen.

I've not seen any log (Apache logs or system logs) related to this. I'm feeling that I need to increase some value in the PHP or Apache resource, actually they're all in the minimum recommended values.

The timeout is set to "0" in the PHP script and memory set to "32mbytes" also in "utilities.php". So, my question is what version of Cacti are you running and what version of PHP and MySQL are you running?
