Actually no, it's not that obvious. While you're at it, why don't you stop telling everyone everything is so friggin obvious. If if was so obvious, we wouldn't be here in this forum talking to you people.

Stating "IP address for Windows" is not obvious enough. The line before it says "DB_Host 'localhost' or socket file for unix", so all "IP address for Windows" means is "When using Windows, use the IP address." Many servers have a bunch of IP addresses to choose from, so that conf file could be more specific.

Thanks for your help and all, but reading through this forum you do come off as pretty rude sometimes. Sorry to be honest.

Granted. However, people and the world tend not to be perfect, it's how we behave together that dictates how close to perfect is remains. Let's try to keep the glass half full if you don't mind.

BSOD spends quite of bit of volunteer time supporting users of the forum and deserves to vent from time to time. It's not easy sometimes.
