New install on Arch linux, No graphs :(
Everything seems to be working find except for the graphing, rrdtool is installed (1.2.11)
I have something like
1) SNMP - Interface Statistics (Verbose Query) Uptime Goes Backwards Success [163 Items, 20 Rows]
so I imagine snmp isnt the problem
How can i enable degugging of the graphing functions etc? I seems to thing it might have something to do with permissions
oh yeah and poller is working fine..
[root@gateway ~]# su cactiuser
[cactiuser@gateway root]$ php /home/httpd/html/cacti/poller.php

Re: New install on Arch linux, No graphs :(
Please be more specific. You created a host entry (for what host?), and snmp is working (as your query above states). Did you Create Graphs for this Host? Which Graphs? Did you select the Graphs tab beneath the Console tab ot the top of the screen? What do you see?Xarion wrote:Everything seems to be working find except for the graphing, rrdtool is installed (1.2.11)

Is your problem related to Graphs not being created at all or to not being displayed correctly?
Some screenshots may help

What version of cacti?
What version of rrdtool?
Do you have your RRDTool version set correctly in your cacti settings?
Also, does the distro that you are using have SELinux enabled and enforced?

I have created the graphs but where I would usually see the graph or a broken image ( when stats are still being colected) there is nothing it just has the heading. I have set the correct version in the setting page to 1.2.x for rrdtool

/usr/src/linux-2.6.10-ARCH/security/selinux

Re: reply
from the result there's no mistake, but from your graph we can see no graph, so i want to know do u add any graph or host to your graph tree, if u don't do that, there's certainly no graph shown...Xarion wrote:I have created the graphs but where I would usually see the graph or a broken image ( when stats are still being colected) there is nothing it just has the heading. i' sure~~~
what i did
ok lemme tell you what i did because there is a lot of confusion in my head.
1. first i created my device and it found snmp running on it.
2. i went to New graphs, selected my host, selected the adapter (VP1 - Virtual-PPP1) selected a graph type of In/Out Bytes and clicked create
3. Went to graph tree > default tree and clicked add
4. Selected Tree item type of graph
5. Selected Traffic - VP1
6. Clicked create
7. no graph, or even broken image
Is there something perhaps that i am not doing?
I am a little confused with templates, graphs, hosts which might be the problem here.
I did notice something strange tho.. under Graph Management.. check the attachment. there are 8 rows but none of them are showing???
Thanx hope someone can help !

For SELinux, see http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=7759Xarion wrote:i did a locate on selinux and found this, so i dont know if the os is using it?

Btw, Version 5.0 is not supported at this time.
