CPU Utilization Correct?

How can I tell if it is graphing my CPU utilization correctly? I complied a .tar file and it went up but I still dont know if the precent is right. It has an average of 5.17% and a max of 9.13%

Hi jhay,

To verify if what you are graphing is a right try executing from the cli of your server the command:

[root@nms root]#top

this should provide you with a report of your system behavior. Compare this results with those that you are getting with your script.
