Multiple domains?

Post by tmoore »

How do I get cacti to authenticate against multiple domains? I.e. in the settings/authentication tab, I currently have <username>@domain-1.com. But people in domain-2.com cannot log into cacti, only domain-1.com ppl.

I don't think this is possible until Cacti 0.9, when the LDAP support becomes more robust. That is, unless someone wants to hack together something to allow more for now.

Doesn't currently work in 0.8.6 version of cacti.

Cacti 0.9.0 has much better support, but it is scheduled to begin beta testing towards the end of First Quarter 2006.

Well what about this. I have a group on the server that can contain users from both domains. What do I need to put in the settings line to check against this group, rather than the whole domain?

i.e.

cn=CactiUsers_uni,ou=Universal,ou=Groups,ou=Enterprise,dc=domain,dc=com
