Problem with 1 host not creating graphs.

Post by apharas »

I have large amount of gear that have two customized data queries that are being graphed. Each chassis has both types of query assigned to them and for the most part the graph without any issues. That is all except one chassis. The queries are ISDN and ISUP. The graphs for chassis ZED are working find for the ISDN query, but any graphs for ISDN are not properly being created. Here are the symptoms.

NO RRD file created.
query fields that have been put in the title are not expanded
The only entries that show up in the log with DEBUG are:
11/03/2005 01:45:01 PM - CACTID: Poller[0] Host[32] SNMP Result: Host responded to SNMP
11/03/2005 01:45:01 PM - CACTID: Poller[0] Host[32] RECACHE: Processing 2 items in the auto reindex cache for '10.7.20.50'
11/03/2005 01:45:01 PM - CACTID: Poller[0] Host[32] DEBUG: HOST COMPLETE: About to Exit Host Polling Thread Function

Datasources for the non-working graphs and the working graphs are the same.
ISDN graphs for this Zed work properly.
ISUP graphs for for every other host.
All hosts running the same version of code.

Anyone have an idea on where I can start looking. I have tried deleting and re-entering the host, even tried it on a dev system. The verbose query shows all the information I would expect for a working host. My theory is it's a problem with one of the data fields being retreived but cacti is not giving me any data to go on.

Thanks

What is the hosts status in the Device list?

Also, when you View the Poller Cache do you see the data sources for this host? And for those data sources for that data query?

Can you post the data query screen for that data query? Is this the only host that data query is used on?

The Host status for Zed is UP.

The Poller Cache shows the data sources from the device ZED for Data Query ISDN but not for Data Query ISUP. But the values do show up properly in the SNMP Cache.

There are about 50 hosts all using this same Data Query, all the other hosts are graphing properly.

Thanks

Add some suggested names for the Data Sources Name and Graph Title.

See if that resolves your issue.

Btw, for polling to occur, you need to see them in the poller cache.
