Patches to 0.8.6g

Post by leeeroybrown »

Hi,

I am starting with fresh install of 0.8.6g. I see there's a patch called mib_file_loading.patch Will applying that patch prohibit me from adding new mibs? I was given a new mib file and will need it to be loaded by cacti.

Also, can I assume that the tarball is prepatched? Or will i need to do the tweaks to the ss_host_cpu.php & ss_host_disk.php files??

Thanks for any clearity provided.

Cacti itself does not need any MIB files. But loading existing MIB files may cause delays. There was a patch, that inhibited loading of MIB files on each poller run; that's all

That patch accually fixes an attempt to make the poller not load the MIBS. If you do not apply that patch, you will see errors when running the poller. Nothing that affects it, just a bunch of lines about "NONE".
