New installations default to correct OS template

Post by BSOD2600 »

Since Cacti knows what OS type it's running on, it would be a good idea that when cacti is installed on a Windows box, that the localhost device would use the Windows 2000/XP host template instead of the Linux one. I've read so many posts where Windows users are trying to use the linux scripts/templates right after they get cacti installed, which obviously doesn't work.
