Data but no graph lines

Post by Raphae »

Version: 0.8.6g
PHP: 4.3.10-16
OS: Debian/unstable

I have poller.php set to run as apache user in crontab. All permissions are set in cacti directory to what I think are correct values (I actually copied the settings from the packaged Debian version). When in graph view, I see actual data values beneath the graphs for Current, Average, and Maximum, but there are no plot lines on the graphs. If I su as apache user and run php poller.php I see no permission errors but do see this at the very end of the output:

10/25/2005 04:06:43 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time:1.1795 Method:cmd.php Processes:1 Threads:N/A Hosts:6 HostsPerProcess:6 DataSources:177 RRDsProcessed:133
10/25/2005 04:06:43 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] DEBUG: About to Spawn a Remote Process [CMD: /usr/bin/php, ARGS: -q /usr/local/tstat/poller_commands.php]
10/25/2005 04:06:43 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] DEBUG: About to Spawn a Remote Process [CMD: /usr/bin/php, ARGS: -q /usr/local/tstat/poller_export.php]
No log handling enabled - turning on stderr logging
Cannot find module (NONE): At line 0 in (none)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Applied patches but still problems

Post by Raphae »

I saw another posting which mentioned to apply the patches at http://www.cacti.net/downloads/patches/0.8.6g/ I did. Now when I run php poller.php everything is OK and the last line reads 10/25/2005 04:38:33 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time:1.1177 Method:cmd.php Processes:1 Threads:N/A Hosts:6 HostsPerProcess:6 DataSources:177 RRDsProcessed:133

But now on the graphs the data values are gone. All values for Current, Average, and Maximum say "nan".

In the Device view if I run verbose queries everything looks okay. Wish I could figure out what is causing the problem here. There has been an ongoing problem with Cacti. Every time, I set it up initially, create new devices, and all the graphs look fine. Then, always, at some point in the future, the graphs stop. I have never had Cacti work continuously for more than about one week before it stops graphing. Data queries appear to be working. Wish there were better information on debugging this or perhaps a better document to guide us.

Its working now

Post by Raphae »

It is in fact working now. After applying all the patches it must have taken a while for things to register and the graphs to show output.
