No graphs . . . I enter the following at the command line:

C:\rrdtool>rrdtool.exe graph --imgformat=PNG --start=-86400 --end=-300 --title="GNS Lab FW" --rigid --base=1000 --height=120 --width=500 --alt-autoscale-max --lower-limit=0 --vertical-label="percent" --slope-mode DEF:a="C\:/apache2/htdocs/cacti/rra/gns_lab_firewall_5min_cpu_10.rrd":5min_cpu:AVERAGE AREA:a#FF0000:"CPU Usage" PRINT:a:LAST:"Current\:%8.01f" GRPINT:a:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.01f" GPRINT:a:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.01f"

and the response is:

ERROR: Not a valid vname: a in line AREA:a#FF0000:"CPU Usage"

1) What versions of everything are you using?
2) Are you using the cygwin build of rrdtool?
3) Did you select the proper version of rrdtool in cacti?
4) did you specify a valid font file for rrdtool in cacti?

I suggest you read the updated installation guide for windows.

Apache 2.0.55
PHP 5.0.5
MySQL 4.0.26-nt
RRDTool 1.2.11
cacti 0.8.6g
net-snmp 5.2.2

I'm pretty sure that I've followed the directions in the install guide . . . obviously not. I'm just trying to figure out where I went wrong.

Thanks for responding.

Uh . . . so, I guess if poller.php is located in \apache2\htdocs\cacti then that is the path I should use, not \apache\htdocs\cacti.

It's amazing how things can work if they're configured properly.
