No monthly average for Interface - Traffic (bits/sec, 95th)

Post by JustJoe »

Hi,

Like topic title says, my monthly average for Interface - Traffic (bits/sec, 95th Percentile) does not show a graph. All others (daily/weekly/yearly) for this item are being graphed, as are all values for all other sources, but not the monthly average for this one.
I really have no clue why it doesn't get graphed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thnx.

Well i 'solved' it by deleting this graph and it's datasources and had to start over again. For now this isn't a big problem because this happened on my home/fun/play server, but what if it happens on one of my production servers ? I just can't delete the graphs then.

Why doesn't anybody from the dev. team answer ? :-?

Not the dev team, but ...
Click on the wrench next to the broken graph to get the rrdtool statements that cacti generates to run this graph. Copy this to cli and run it; perhaps you'll get somen error messages that will lead you further. Or post the failing rrdtool statement...

Just changed the graph template for one graph from "Interface - Traffic (bits/sec)" to "Interface - Traffic (bits/sec, 95th Percentile)". As a result I get a red line at 0 and a comment "(0 mbit in+out). Any idea how to get the 95th percentile to actually show?

I am running cacti 0.8.6f.

Thanks.

Fixed... Realized that http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=9610 and http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=9429 apply to 0.8.6f. Installed the patch and changed variable to aggregate. All is well now.
