poller.php error

Hi,

This is the error I get when i run the poller.php file



Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in c:\Apache\Apache2\htd
ocs\cacti\lib\adodb\drivers\adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 338

any ideas anyone?

Yes, you php doesn't have mysql support compiled in or turned on as a module.

I have sorted the previous issues and now it shows this error message any ideas?

What happens when you type: php -m ?
Do you have php in your system path?

I was getting the same thing, didn't realize right away after fixing my other problems [PATHs are screwy with subst drives ] that the initial config page was now working - went through that and no more 'not recognized' error.

It appears that this error is generated because poller.php is ran before the configuration is run via the web interface. Just out of curiousity, why does the documentation say to do it in this order when all it does is break things?

The only thing I can think of is that if you follow the directions explicitly you can run through the configuration before the cron job runs and then your graphs will have info to show. Of course I tested the command out before entering into my crontab and continuing ...and hence I hunted and hunted to find this post to find out how I screwed up.

Oh well...hind sight is 20/20
