Running the poller manually, I discoverd some error messages related to the MIB modules :

some MIBs refrence other MIBs, looks like you are missing a few, you can either download the missing MIBs and put them in the appropriate dir (be aware you may download one only to find it refrences something else you don't have) or you can limit the MIBs that are read in during a walk (I dont know how to do this exactly but I've seen posts to that effect elsewhere in the forums)
I would go for option 1 as the MIBs its complaining about are pretty standard ones, makes me wonder if you dont have your mib dir in the wrong place or maybe dont have a full SNMP install.

YES !!
I should have known checking the MIB location and variables was the first thing to do. The BSOD install bible has a minor error ! The MIBDIRS variable for PHP 5.0.5 should be c:\php\extras\mibs, not c:\php\mibs.

ahh, thanks.. I've been busy with the opposite sex lately so haven't had time to run though my installs with mysql 4.1 and php 5. I'll update that tidbit.
