Very very strange thing happened...

Post by noxum »

Hi community,

yesterday I ran in a very weired situation with cacti. I did create new data templates und graph templates to monitor the OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.6.9 which represents the tcp established connections.
Then I applied the new graph to a windows 2003/IIS server. On this server I do monitor the current connections with snmp. Works great so far.

But after I did apply my new graph template, the graph of the IIS connections jumped from some 10 connections to some 100 connections! Removing the tcp established connections graph normalized the IIS connections.

So, please TheWitniss pimp my cacti:)
No, serious. It's a very strange behavior.
btw: I run cacti 0.8.6g with cactid-0.8.6f-1 on freebsd 5.4

regards
