I've installed a new Cacti machine (specs below), and got the first graphs working.
However, when I select an item in a drop box, the contents of the web page are not updated.
For example:
I click on 'New Graphs'. By default, the 'Localhost' is selected in the dropbox, which I change to another device I entered. In the 'Graph Templates' and 'Data Query' paragraphs of the web page nothing will change, and I will see everything related to the localhost. I cannot create graphs for any other host from this page.
Another example:
I'm trying to make a new CDEF item, which will use a 'Special Data source' item type. When I select this item type the drop box where I have to select the 'CDEF Item Value' will display only the entries for the 'Function' Item type (like SIN, COS, LOG, EXP, ...) and will not change to the values that go with 'Special Data Source'. Never seen that on an older Win2000 machine with IIS5 and Cacti 0.8.6.c.
Anyone an idea ?
Thanks !

Found the problem !! The internet security settings in the browser where set to "Internet", I switched them to "Trusted" for the Cacti site.
