Post by Smile »

Because of incompability issues i had what versions I should use?
The documentation SHOULD say under what os what versions to use.

I'm using windows server 2003 SP1 with IIS 6

Tried PHP5, does not work
Tried PHP4 works
Tried Mysql 4.1.14 does not work, can login from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/administrator/1.1.html

Created a user and imported database, still can't access database using php

error

401.3

I tried Mysql 4.0.26 and it does not uninstall now any suggestions?

Working versions I'm using are in my signature.

The reason you've having problems with mysql 4.1 and php 4.x is because of the new password structure it uses. Take a read here on how to fix that.

MySQL 4.1.14 works perfectly in Windows. MySQL 5 has issues with Cacti and vice versa (if you know what I mean). I am currently working through the issues with MySQL 5 and there remain some serious ones.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?

Is there somewhere on the cacti site that states what versions of mysql/php cacti currently supports?
