internet only

Post by ddmedia »

Hello I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to monitor only internet traffic.

The scenerio is as follows:
- several client machines
- a couple of switch
- a firewall (netscreen)
- a router (no access to that, it's ISP locked)

Now I'd like to monitor all the traffic made by each client individually.. but only the internet traffic so I can see who's sucking the bandwitdh

I'd appreciate at least where to search on the forums (eg. keyword to use in search form) o a little tip

Best regards

This looks like a netflow/cflow type of question. There are several posts on this, but not very recent ones. It might be worth to have a look at http://www.ntop.org. Perhaps this fits your needs better...
