weird problem with 8.6g almost solved but need help from dev

Post by david martin »

i dont know why but when i create a new cisco router or rediscover an upgraded router (i only graph router )
i can only see cpu usage but nothing about interfaces
i have tried this on numerous routers

see attached picture

in my log i have

10/10/2005 05:30:26 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time:25.6933 Method:cactid Processes:4 Threads:16 Hosts:372 HostsPerProcess:93 DataSources:3593 RRDsProcessed:1961

etc ............

when i debug a faulty interface

/usr/bin/rrdtool create \
/var/www/cacti/rra/mag_cluses_pmvv005_traffic_in_2526.rrd \
--step 300 \
DS:traffic_in:COUNTER:600:0:1000000000 \
DS:traffic_out:COUNTER:600:0:1000000000 \
DS:traffic_out:COUNTER:600:0:100000000 \
DS:traffic_in:COUNTER:600:0:100000000 \
RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:1:600 \
RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:6:700 \
RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:24:775 \
RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:288:797 \
RRA:MAX:0.5:1:600 \
RRA:MAX:0.5:6:700 \
RRA:MAX:0.5:24:775 \
RRA:MAX:0.5:288:797 \

i noticed i had duplicate lines beginning with DS
and when i erase the 2 lower lines beginnig by DS
and execute this command by hand beeing the cacti user
i can see again the graph of this specific interface !

my question is :
where are the arguments to the "rrdtool create" command generated ?
so that i can modify the code and avoid this duplication
because i have way too much interface and my method is not scalable

thanks for your time
