Strange graph problem?

Post by theRENEGADEkemist »

Hey guys, I thought someone would be intelligent enough to help me out...

I have a fresh install of Cacti 0.8.6g with the patches. I have MySQL running fine (latest version 4.1?) I have NET-SNMP installed under C:\usr directory. I have PHP 5 and ActiveState ActivePerl. I am getting graphs but they are comming up as follows:

Oh yeah and i have RRDTOOL-1.2.11 installed in the C:/rrdtool directory and i have the CYGWIN DLL copied to the C:\windows\system32 directory... that should work right?

Now i can't figure out whats wrong but i know i put C:/windows/fonts in the font directory. I install ArialN.ttf but i specified verdana.ttf for all the font files....

any ideas?

Do you see data on any of the graphs?

If this happens for all graphs, then you didn't properly specify the font file for rrdtool 1.2.x.

If this only happens for a few graphs (seemingly random), then it's a known problem with rrdtool 1.2.11 and 1.2.12.

I see this for all the graphs. Now to setup the Font for RRDTool i do this inside of the PATH and Visual(?) settings in Cacti right? I mean i setup the Cacti Application to look for a particular file (verdana.ttf) inside of the C:/windows/fonts directory... Anything else?

1) What versions of everything are you using?
2) Paste a graph debug output
3) When you look at the cacti log file, are there any errors returned?

LOoks like i may have fixed it...

Please not for everyone out there when they say windows font path they mean to include the Name of the font file as weel :(

my windows font path went from C:/windows/fonts to C:/windows/fonts/verdana.ttf

that sucks...

you know the install document needs a little bit of revision. I think i may take that on since its complex going from the linux install to the windows install....

We have not been able to find a good web based document creation tool. All the developers know that it needs quite a bit of work, it's a timing thing.

I've already submitted changes for the Windows install documentation, to Rony, who in tern has passed it onto J.P. The updated instructions, until made public can be found here.
