Waiting on 10/10 pollers.

Post by enash »

Waiting on 10/10 pollers. Any Idea why I would be seeing this when I turn on Debug. I was "experimenting" with this server and f'ed up my database.. so I dumped it and went back to a backup that was before i had configured cactid. So I am getting this when I switch to Cactid.

any ideas?

Thanks

You need to utilize the 0.8.6f-rc12 in the announcements forum. I want users to work this one. If I get enough, "it works", I will release.

I am currently using

cacti 0.8.6g-1
cacti-cactid 0.8.6e-1.2.el4.rf
rrdtool 1.0.50-1.1.el3.rf

Is this a bad combo?

There are some issues with rrdtool 1.0.50, I would suggest 1.2.x or 1.0.49 instead of 1.0.50.

Ok, I have tried to upgrade to 1.2, Problem 1 with this is that I can ./configure and make, but make install fails due to the libs. I have followed the docs for rrdtool from their website on the libs downloading and indtallation which seems to go fine. But then when i try to compile and install again after a make clean it dies. DAMN REDHAT!! this server only seems to like rpms.. anyone got an RPM that I can -Uvh my 1.50 build then?

Thanks

Configure rrdtool with the following options.

Code: Select all

./configure --disable-rrdcgi --disable-perl --disable-tcl --disable-python
Does that help you out?

Seems like it install without and error, but when I select rrdtool version 1.2x and give the path to the binary /usr/local/rrdtool-1.2.11/rrdtool nothing works. I still seem to get these errors as well..

now i read a bit more on here and tried ./cactid from the binary dir and found that the conf file for one reason or another had gone back to default. Not sure how that happened. Might you have any further Ideas?

Are you sure that is the correct path to the executable?

I typically see "/usr/local/rrdtool-1.2.11/bin/rrdtool'.
