No graphs after update

Post by expat »

Performed an upgrade from 0.8.5 to 0.8.6g.

First problem I found was that the cactid application fails with the following message:

Code: Select all

11:42:31[cactiuser@cacti]$ /usr/local/cactid/bin/cactid
cactid version 0.8.5a starting.
Using cactid config file [/etc/cactid.conf].
Connecting to MySQL database 'cacti' on 'localhost'...
Cactid Ready.
Connecting to MySQL database 'cacti' on 'localhost'...
Segmentation fault
So I switched back to using cmd.php for the moment. All seems to go fine, except I'm no longer getting any updates to any of my graphs! The cmd.php exits as follows:

Code: Select all

Why is cactid failing and why are my graphs no longer being updated??

TIA.

cactid: Perhaps using cactid 0.8.6e (current stable release) will solve the segfault. There's work in progress by TheWitness for cactid-0.8.6f.

cmd.php: Sorry, no clue

http://www.cacti.net/download_cacti.php shows 0.8.6g as the current stable branch. Is this not the case??

You should update cactid (the C poller) to 0.8.6e : http://cacti.net/cactid_download.php
