Hi,
I have created an xml file for monitoring sysedge agents, but I don't know what to do next.
I called the file sysedge_disk.xml and placed this file in the resources\snmp_queries directory.
What to next. I tried to import this, but I can't mange cacti to create graphs.
Any help would be appreciated

The XML tells cacti how to get the data from your remote machine. In that way, it replaces a data gathering script.
The next thing to do is to define a data template to define, what and how the values are stored. The data template defines all parms for the rrd to be generated.
Second step is creating a graph template. This defines how the values are displayed. You'll find a walktrough (based on a data gathering script) at http://www.cacti.net/downloads/docs/htm ... graph.html. A chapter for data queries is found at http://www.cacti.net/downloads/docs/htm ... eries.html with graph templates following...

CA SysEdge Agents in Cacti
Did you ever get this to work?
Im about to get started on integrating CA Spectrum + Cacti + SysEdge. Spectrum for the Event correlation and mapping, Cacti for the Performance graphing and SysEdge on the hosts to open up all the stats via SNMP and forward log events.

When creating a new set of templates, you should start at 1st link of my sig. There are a lot of walkthroughs, at least one for each set of templates
