Broken Graph (minutes cuts)

Hello

i have a problem with cacti (after few month of non-problem working).
all of my graph have a cuts, like no connectivity at that moment. but i checked it up and it was ok, also poller running every 30 sec, so it's also ok..
anybody knows?

Cacti version
cmd.php/cactid
patches applied
data source breakdown: scripts, snmp, ss
php version
mysql version, etc....

hello there,

my cacti is 0.8.6d with no patches installed,
data source of the graph it's snmp (snmpget),
run on linux redhat 9, with php 4.3.9 and mySql 4.1.10a.

and i follow the F&Q to "php poller.php"
the linux turn back

Check size of your log file.I had the same issue when my log file got size ~1Gig or so ...

P.S to the developer it would be nice to have feature that would auto limit size of the log file

What about "logrotate"ing the cacti log? Myself, I decided to clean the log every midnight ...

that's the point, that i can clean them up .. them what i need ..

Also tried today to clean up the cacti.log, but it doesn't help

Please try the following and post the results, if this is not working:

cd <your path to cacti>/log
ls -l
cat > nothing
<----- at this point, hit CTRL-C
ls -l
cp nothing > cacti.log
ls -l

If this works, enter the "cp" line into your crontab to run around midnight.
