new: can't get to monitor my routers

Post by cnicules »

hi,

i just got cacti and find it super, but i can monitor only the stings that is already in cacti database, i try to create a new item and i get a blank graph. I'm a little lost of how the sources/templets... relate to one another.

My wish is simple, i have a couple of cisco 3725, and 3550 and want to monitor cpu, mem, octets and pkts.

thanks for any help

Help is on the way; try http://www.cacti.net/downloads/docs/htm ... thods.html

Search the forum under http://forums.cacti.net/viewforum.php?f=5 for solutions like this. e.g. Cisco CPU has been solved (I'm using them myself...), packets is part of standard interface MIB etc. pp.
