"Waiting on 1/1 pollers" - after server change

Post by GoranTornqvist »

Im about to change cacti to new server.
But when I run poller.php I get:
09/18/2005 05:26:32 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] DEBUG: About to Spawn a Remote Process [CMD: /usr/local/cactid/bin/cactid, ARGS: 0 36]
Waiting on 1/1 pollers.
Waiting on 1/1 pollers.
Waiting on 1/1 pollers.
Waiting on 1/1 pollers.
Waiting on 1/1 pollers.
Waiting on 1/1 pollers.
Waiting on 1/1 pollers.
Waiting on 1/1 pollers.
...
...
09/18/2005 05:26:17 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] Maximum runtime of 296 seconds exceeded. Exiting.
If I use cmd.php instead of cactid its working as a charm...

I'm not sure where to start looking for the problem...any ideas?

Thanks...

change directory into the cactid binary directory, change settings to DEBUG and run ./cactid. You will get your answer.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?

I got my answer :)
And it was:

CACTID: MYSQL: Connection Failed: Access denied for user 'cactiuser'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

cactid.conf wasn't installed for some reason so I hadn't set the user and pass in cactid.conf...doh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I thought that stuff was passed from cacti conf...well well :)

Sorry ;)
