RRDTool 1.2.10 and LAST value

Post by vang1804 »

Hello everyone,

I am trying to make some templates for my systems and I have problems graphing the LAST poll values. I am creating a SNMP Data Query using a XML file and I link it with the data template and the graph template without a problem.
At the graph template I add a line2 with the input and as CF I put AVERAGE. No problem with that. When I put LAST in CF, no graph is generated. The graph in debug mode says...

RRDTool Says:

ERROR: the RRD does not contain an RRA matching the chosen CF

RRDTool 1.2.10 ... Cacti 0.86g

Thanks

Once an RRD file is created, cacti does not accomodate natively the alteration of the RRA's within it. You must either learn how to use RRDtool, or delete the file. Once deleted, the RRD file will be recreated with the appropriate RRA's.

ok, I will delete the rras and I will wait until they are regenerated. What I cannot understand, is why this happened when I upgraded the RRDtools from version 1.0 to 1.2. Do you know if there is any good reference for the RRDtools?

Thanks.
