"Strict"/scripted templates?

Post by kgraham »

Is there anything in the works for "strict templates" that would update hosts with new graphs, etc on the fly?

I've toying w/ cutting over to it entirely and ditching Cricket, but loathe the idea of going though 100+ nearly-identical hosts to activate a new graph template, etc. (ie. start graphing a new set of interface properties and now have 1000's of graphs to create)

Along similar lines, has any thought been put into a DS filter syntax? Simple case would be to exclude certain ifType's from IF-MIB before being displayed on the 'Create new graphs' page so that hosts with chokingly large numbers of interfaces could be added easily.
