1 check per day how to?

Post by emat »

Hi all,

I'm having a bunch of graphs with a resolution of 5 minutes which is good.
I want to make another graph, but the graph needs to be updated only once a day.

How can I define this, doing updates only once a day while all the other graphs are updated every 5 minutes..

Actually, this could be treated more generally, because I see this from both direction. Some gigabit switches only have 32-bit octet counters, so they must be polled every *minute*, but polling a printer for page count anything other than once a day is probably overkill.

As I remember, there is ongoing work on that by TheWitness. You may be able to define different polling cycles. Serach the forum on that, please.
