Broken graphs after modifing data template

Post by neg1 »

Hello,

I was playing with modifying the Maximum Value for traffic_in and traffic_out on Interface - Traffic data template. Now none of my traffic graphs are updating. I've changed the Maximum Value back to its original value, but the graphs are still broken. I can add new traffic graphs and they work, but I'd like to save all my old data if possible. Any suggestions?

thanks,
-joe

Did you change the Data Source Template or the Graph Template?

I experienced similar after duplicating a graph template and applying to my data_query, all graph had stop collecting..

I'm curious to make sure if you're using data_queries for this?

just in case it would save anyone's time.

after some testing:

- I'm pretty sure this was caused by the fact that my data template which is bound to a data_query did not have the following options checked as (Use Per-Data Source..)
- Use Per-Data Source Value
- Index Type
- Index Value
- Output Type ID

- After doing a change to the template, those values would be reset and the poller would stop collecting for those.

- Though checking the box doesn't fix collecting.. Only if it's done prior to graph creation.. (makes sense)
I would've like to make a SQL query that would SET what config is needed to recover the polling..

- For that i did a diff of 2 mysqldumps before and after the issue.
Differences include Index ID as '' and supposed to be 'on' as 'Null'..
So it's there, but don't know the table structure enough..

Please be careful if you try to duplicate this issue :x
