Security hole?

Post by dr_goodman »

Hi
I notised in my apache logs that there are several requests that I suppose are security holes that some hacker wants so exploit.

Log entry is like this:

adsl-68-122-36-243.dsl.pltn13.pacbell.net - - [28/Aug/2005:20:09:31 +0200] "GET /cacti/graph_image.php HTTP/1.0" 404 219 "-" "-"

Since I don't use cacti it got an 404

What do you think?

Yep, that would be an attempt to see if cacti exists and possibly other things, but not seeing the URI and parameters, I can't tell you what they where attempting to do.
