cannot graph 64bit with snmp v2

Post by canvas95 »

I installed cacti and cactid with apt. cactid working fine...
but cacti cannot graph 64bit traffic.
see the messeges below..

cacti01:~# snmpwalk -v2c -c public xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx ifHCOutOctets
IF-MIB::ifHCOutOctets = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

from devices tab, snmp version and community value are correct.
Ofcourse the status is up.
cacti 0.8.6c installed on debian 3.1 and other systems are debian 3.0 , debian 3.1 , debian 3.1 x64 , CentOS 3.x , CentOS 3.x x64.

I would check that the device supports 64-bit counters.

hm... before i using cacti, mrtg made 64bit traffic graph.
Which device you mean?
I really sorry but could you tell me the minimum requirement to grahp 64bit traffic?
And another question is why it says this messege : "IF-MIB::ifHCInOctets = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID"
do I need to modify something on data queries? or this can fixed if I upgrade latest cacti version?

Excuse my ignorance.... I just start learn linux.
Also English is not my mother tongue. ^^;
